Hard Drive problem solved

While travelling in Indonesia, I was living in a rented house where a bunch of ants went began living in my computer and seemed to have fried something inside. After removing my hard drive and trying to replace it with a portable external drive, I realized that the problem was either the wire or the motherboard. After I connected my hard drive as an external hard drive and booted it, everything seemed to work fine (although very slow and with multiple crashes due to it being booted externally). I thus came to the conclusion that the hard drive cable was the culprit. 2 months later, back in my hometown, I ordered the hard drive cable and received it within two days.

Repair went smoothly. Used the 54 bit driver kit, and had no issues whatsoever, except a bit of a sweaty palm when placing the sticky wire under the hard drive's position. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy thanks to the great guides available. Fanx!

내 조언

Take your time before removing the adhesive from the hard drive cable. Position the cable as you want it, visualize and all that, and then take the adhesive off with confidence, it'll make it easier.
