I live with my iPhone by my side 24/7. Having it or well over a year now, the battery no longer held a charge like it used to. Even with a case that provided an extra charge, I would not be able to make it through the day.

The repair was a complete success with a minor hiccup in the middle. The step-by-step guide put together by iFixit was a HUGE help as always.
The toughest part was prying the battery from the phone. This took a lot more work than I was expecting. Ultimately, the battery was replaced and all is well.

If you buy the iPhone 5 battery replacement kit, please use caution prying the battery from the case. The plastic pry tool provided broke. Thankfully I had one from a prior repair that I was able to utilize and complete the repair.
Be cautious and be prepared to use a little force to pry the old battery off.
