YLOD / RLOD for 60gb PS3 "Fat"

My 8 yr old PS3 "Fat" 60gb shut itself down during a session of Gran Turismo 6 and gave me a blinking red light, and wouldn't boot anymore. I looked into it and figured it was an overheat problem, similar to the YLOD.

I followed the iFixit guide along with a few walk-thru videos I found on YouTube. Took awhile to get the PS3 motherboard out, but all went well. After the fix was done, I put the thing back together in less than 20 mins and, lo, it worked again!!

1 - Get the kit. It's going to save you a lot of time and frustration. I was going to cobble the tools together myself but had no guarantee they'd work as I needed them to.

2- Don't be afraid of using some heat. I used the heat gun while I had the motherboard sitting on some wooden spoons above an inverted Pyrex dish over a stove burner set on low (sorry for the run-on, see pics for description).
