Iphone 5c lcd replacement

My girlfriend has anger issues and decided to take it out on her iPhone 5c. On the right corner of the glass it was completely missing and glass in front of the camera was gone as well, leaving the camera completely exposed. She upgraded to the 6 and I have been working on phones for a couple of months and said why not give this a shot. The LCD needed to be replaced because when you power the phone on all you saw were lines going across the screen.

The repair was harmless. I had the proper tools. I bought the whole LCD replacement because it was cheap. I spent about 30 dollars on ebay and replaced it within a half hour. If it's your first time attempting it might take you double or triple the amount of time just to know where things go and what thing are.

My advice is to do your research to know what you need. Make sure you have the proper tools. If you can, buy extra screws just in case. Make sure your in a place that has minimal dust, give yourself space and lighting to work with and most importantly take your time. I use the tweezer set, the basic tools that come with every DIY kit and gloves. Nothing special, but it works fine. My tweezer set and disposable gloves from the dollar store. I've seen nice sets out there but I wouldn't spend more than ten dollars but always look for your parts that come with them extra always comes in handy.
