I bought my XBOX360 from a friend who stopped using it because of the RRoD and a corrupted hard drive.

The hardest part for me was getting the case off; the clips above the power cable took me forever to get apart. Everything else was pretty easy and the guide from iFixit was extremely helpful. I also reflowed the motherboard and I think it helped. My XBOX works great now!

The only thing the guide here does not show is testing after applying the thermal paste and putting the GPU and CPU back on. rrod360.com has a guide similar to iFixit, but includes testing the XBOX to make sure the thermal paste works.
