I believe Philips program the little device to stop working so the need to buy a new one given the lack of accessibility to replace the batteries, I never used it to shave so it would still work that end no problem but not the grooming only for a couple of minutes if it would work, this for a couple of weeks before it completely died last night

I happen to have a watch band replacement tool that I carefully used on this process and it did help even better that the pliers, especially removing the connectors from the batteries and the plastic that protects the battery compartment, with the help of the pliers inner rough pattern kinda grinded off the excess plastic making it difficult to remove 2 of the 4 screws that keeps the plastic that covers/protects the batteries, again is worth to mention that I might have take longer time but everything carefully and paying attention to detail placing everything back the way it was, with the help of this guide iFixIt...ed!!!
