Instead of venturing to repair it myself, I bought one that was refurbished by the follow iFixIt community.

I think offering the venue to re-market the items that are repaired by the expert re-use/repair folks makes total sense. Creating the venue and market place for those people who pride themselves in doing expert repairs. Rather than relying on eBay or Amazon, having it right here on iFixIt.com for an alternative venue, provided that it gives the seller and the buyers assurance that things are going to go smoothly.
