iPhone 6 GPS and wifi not working very well (Antenna Flex Cable Replacement)
Had bad reception on GPS and wifi. This is the second time I have had to replace the Antenna Flex Cable. I also had a bad battery, so I replaced it at the same time.
The first time, I bought a lousy cheap replacement part, and it lasted me about 8 months. Now that I bought a replacement from iFixit, I hope it will last longer.
The process was simple to follow, and it actually took me some time because I did two repairs in one: I also replaced the battery with a new one.
By the way, take my advice seriously—batteries are tricky. After I removed my old one, it bent in the process, so when I bent it back into its original state, it caught fire! No issues or damages, luckily, but it definitely is a risk. The hardest part was to get the adhesive out from behind the old battery, since the white stretchy straps break easily. In the end, a good job well done.
Be extremely careful when handling old batteries.
