Easy fix!

The battery on my iPhone 3GS would cause my phone to turn off after about 10 straight minutes of use, though it would report a 90% charge. Time for a new battery! I was skeptical it could be done, but ifixit had clear instructions and a good kit!

Easy-peasy! Pictures were helpful, video was a good summary. I had my 9-year-old son help me, so it took about 30 minutes, but we both had a great time!

Get some small containers for the screws. It is bad news if one falls on the floor. Even on hardwood, they are really tough to find. One screw is a different size - don't mix it up.

The camera is not a tight fit, nor the bracket that "holds it in". Make sure they are in place before you close it up.

The instructions were right about having the SIM card slot lined up when putting the logic board back in. You have to have it JUST RIGHT. For my phone, it had to go further down into the case back. Just a little coersion, then it slipped in fine.

The spudger that comes with the kit is awesome. Don't use a screwdriver.

Be really careful removing the old battery. Even having heated things up with a hairdryer, it was the hardest part to remove.
