내 문제

Fan bearing started getting noisy and then fan started to be slow/intermittent causing overheat shutdown of the MacBook.

나의 수리

Watched your video to see what I was in for. Seemed relatively straightforward. Opened up the case and got to the fan. 2 of the 3 Philips screws came out easy. One was REALLY torqued down. I used several bits from my iFixit 56 bit set. Even broke off a corner from one of the very small flat blade bits - had to grind it down back to flat afterwards to repair the bit. Finally found the right combination of Philips bits to unscrew the final screw. Fan came out easily. Your video forewarned me to be careful with popping out the connector. New fan and connector went in easy. Case went back together and all is well with the world. New fan works great. Quiet, smooth, no thermal problems. Laptop is as good as new. Thanks.

내 조언

Have multiple tools (i.e. not just one Philips screwdriver.) Sometimes, that one tool just won't work, so have a second, third, etc. choice. Make sure you watch the video BEFORE you even get started.
