The battery life in my iPhone 4s was becoming a problem. It would die suddenly. A few minutes later I could power it back on and it would say it had lie 40% and then die again suddenly. It honestly had about 1hr of usage on a full charge.

It went so fast I really did not have time to take pictures, mainly because the phone was in use. But I followed the guide, the pictures could have been larger and had arrows in a few places. It was done before I knew it. It is up and running and it seems to run all day now with fairly heavy usage and still has power when I go to bed. GREAT. It worked so well I am about to order another kit to fix my son's iPhone 4s.

Honestly I have been taking things apart since I was a very young child - like 3 or 4. Over the years I have gotten better at putting things back together and making them work without extra parts left over. ; ) Between the tools and instructions provided I would bet I could have done something like this many years ago if I had someone to read me the instructions. iFixit makes it easy so that anyone can fix it even if you have never done this before. Great Job!

1 - Read the instructions through one time before you get started.

2 - Get a cloth towel or some very soft surface to work on. Cloth is nice because if you drop a screw on it the screw will not bounce or roll.

3 - Get something to put the screws in/on that will keep the separate and from rolling. They are very small and hard to tell apart even though they are different sizes. I used the magnetic mat I bought from iFixit it a few years ago. It has markings on it so that you can separate your screws as you take them out.

4 - Look closely at the insides of the iPhone once you open it to be familiar with the insides and the pictures provided. Make sure you know what you are supposed to remove and in what order before you start.

5 - Take your time, use the right tool provided for the right job.

6 - Don't force anything. It is not that difficult a task if you take your time, take a breath and try again.
