Unless you are highly proficient in SMD replacement as well as having the required Microscope, hot air or rework station, soldering iron (not a cheap one), and on top of that years worth of experience. So the simple answer is no but the technical answer is yes. If you already have an investment of about 3 of these laptops plus training.
Definitely test points upon cracking open one of these bad boys the say tp and than letter/number combinations by each smaller pin, I would say that is hard to doubt that they are test points, if you scroll to step 9 the picture shows the tp labeling
Any clue if the CPU is actually soldered correctly, it seems that the G5s are suffering from the same boot loop trend we are seeing from LGs, any idea if it is from the same cause.
Scary catch there, fingers crossed google did their homework and don't give us the next round of boot loop issues(would be interesting to see how the Google/LG blame throwback would change if google made a similar soldering defect).
