Hi there! My name is Brian Hong and I ‘m a student at Washington State University Vancouver pursuing a degree in computer science. Previously, I have earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of British Columbia.
In the future, I hope to be a software engineer at a tech company. I wish to be solving problems on a daily basis because I love problem solving.
I do not currently have much experience with technical writing; however, I hope to learn a thing or two about it as I edit some iFixit guides. I hope to come out of this experience understanding the best way to get my point across concisely.
Here I am competing at a building event for Science Olympiad. I made an elastic launched glider with a partner.
I love puzzles. Thinking logically is something that I have always enjoyed and hope to continue to do. If a second goes by where I’m not trying to figure something out, I’ll get bored and look for some mental stimulation. In my free time, I like to play strategy games.
In the past, I used to play chess competitively. I enjoyed the game and still play it as a hobby, but don’t have time to play it competitively anymore.
