Howdy! My name is Evan Roberts,

I'm a sophomore mechanical engineering student currently co-enrolled at both Texas A&M University and Austin Community College. After I graduate from A&M, I plan on working for Los Alamos National Laboratory in order to further our understanding of nuclear energy and to maintain the United State's nuclear stockpile. I see nuclear energy as the future for a safe, carbon neutral power supply, so I want to do my part to create that future.

Previous Experiences

Before I started college I used to be a welder, mainly fabricating parts for the semi conductor industry. While I really enjoyed the job, it also showed me what the consequences of poor engineering usually resulted in: wasted time and wasted product. So, ever since then I've been determined to not make the same mistakes, and to help improve any company I work for as much as I can.

Aside from welding, I also used to be in the Boy Scouts, making it all the way up to the rank of Eagle Scout. This experience not only left me with a wonderful experience in leadership, planning, communication, first aid, and camp-craft, but it also instilled a great love for the out doors too! As a result, I've traveled to a number of national parks and I even got to climb the tallest mountain in Texas.

Repairs

As for repairs, I've preformed various fixes welding machines long with general maintenance. I've also been getting into automotive repairs, and so far I've changed my own headlights, motor oil, break pads, and even wheel bearings! all in all, I love fixing thing and understanding how they work.

Now that all of the serious stuff is out of the way, here's a little more about me:

This little guy has got to be my favorite animal currently living on the Earth! He's super smart and equally adorable. Honestly, I have no idea how I could have gotten through the pandemic with his constant emotional support. All in all, great pup, 10/10.

Now, believe it or not, but I actual took that picture. For the last few months I've been getting into 35 mm film photography, and so far I've been seeing some great success, such as the image to the left.
