Hey guys, You probably know this already but the solution is here: http://www.osxwifi.com/apple-broadcom-bcm94360cd-802-11-a-b-g-n-ac-bluetooth-4-0-with-adapter-for-imac-2009-imac-2010-and-imac-2011 It works great! All the best, Tom
Hi jjustinschultz, For the MBP you need a BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX chipset - the one you have in your 2011 MBP is BCM94331PCIEBT4AX. You can open the computer to double check but this is probably it. I got mine on ebay from a 2012 MacBook Air. Once you install the hardware you need to hack the .kext files, the tutorial is here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.p... Post #848 That's it, everything works and this mod is +- $50 with shipping. For the iMac, we need to figure out what chip with BT 4.0 LE is compatible, the rest is only about modifying the .kext files. Tom
Be SUPER EXTRA CAREFUL when connecting this cable back!!! Use a magnifying glass or headset to see what you are doing.
When I plugged it in the first time (finished the rest of the process and restarted the mac) I got green lines all over my screen…
I replugged it a total of 4 times to get it right even cleaned it with alcohol. Now everything is working, but I freaked out a bit :)
