Computer won't Power On
The computer won't turn on no matter what you do.
Broken or Dead Battery
The battery in the laptop might not be able to hold a charge anymore so it can't power on, if the battery doesn't charge when plugged into a charger, consider buying a replacement battery.
Faulty Power Adapter
The issue might be with the charger you are using, if the charging light is not on it could be your power adapter rather than your battery, try to find a replacement charger.
Keyboard not Working or has Keys Missing
Trying to type doesn't work, or some keys are stuck.
Full Keyboard Replacement
If the entire keyboard isn’t responding, then your best option will be a full replacement, keyboard replacement guide will be found here.
Keys are Stuck in Pressed Position
If there are only a small number of keys that don’t work, and you can’t press them down, there could be something underneath it, but it should be pretty easy to replace. You can pop the key off and hopefully clean whatever is underneath it.
Keys Missing
Similar to stuck keys, except you would need a complete replacement key.
Faulty Display
The screen of your laptop is unresponsive or distorted.
Frozen Screen
If your screen is frozen, turn off your computer to restart it.
Monitor is Dark
If your screen is too bright or dark, the f11 and f12 keys will let you change the brightness.
Damaged Screen
If the screen is cracked or has any major damage, the only option would be to replace it, screen replacement guide will be found here.
Dead Pixels/Color Distortion
If your computer powers on but your screen has missing pixels that stay blacked out, or the colors on the screen aren't what they should be, then the problem could be with your LCD screen.
Touchpad Unresponsive
Your touchpad is not working at all, or does not track properly.
Frozen Touchpad
If your computer is on but your keyboard/touchpad is not working restart your computer and ensure that both the keyboard and touchpad are enabled. If you need you need a quick fix, attach an external mouse.
Laptop Overheating
if your laptop is overheating during normal use, there could be a problem with your cooling system.
Broken Fan
If fans are not running properly or are broken, then you will to replace them, the fan replacement guide will be found here.
Dusty Vents/Fans
If your fans are covered in dust, they are still working but they can't get rid of heat, cleaning the dust out of your fans will decrease the running temperature.
Webcam is not Recording Properly
If your webcam is broken or not high enough quality, you could replace it.
Lens Damaged
The camera lens could be covered or damaged, decreasing picture or video quality.
Software/Hardware Disconnect
If your webcam is not recognized by the computer, or the picture is off entirely, then your webcam could be disconnected from the rest of your computer and the best course of action would be to replace it, webcam replacement guide will be found here

Buenas noches soy michael tengo un portátil gateway lt41p10u no me deja formatear por medio de Usb ni a través de ninguna otra unidad vía usb…. Ni mucho formateando el disco en otro equipo e incorporandolo nuevamente en la laptop… la bios no me reconoce las usb bootable pero si los teclados en los puertos.. Necesito que me ayuden por favor me gusta mucho esta laptop… gracias
