Why does my battery not last long anymore?
You have trouble holding a charge on your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone.
Check the battery usage
When you are facing Huawei Mate 9 battery life issues, the first thing to check is the battery usage. So, head over towards Settings > Battery > Battery usage. This will show the amount of battery usage by each and every app. In case you notice a particular app is draining the excessive amount of battery, it is best to update or uninstall it to see if it causes any changes to the battery drain issue.
The system settings are not calibrated correctly
The next job is to tweak some settings of the Huawei Mate 9 device that can boost the battery life. For example, if the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and location services are on although they are not in use, then it is always better to turn them off and only enable them when needed. If always you keep the Wi-Fi on if it isn't in use and go out, the device will always keep searching for a Wi-Fi network. This will cause stress on the battery life, and the same is true for Bluetooth and other connectivity options as well.
The sync settings are not calibrated correctly
With checking all the settings mentioned above, it is also worth checking the sync settings which can be another big reason of battery drain issues on your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone. If you have enabled too many of sync settings, then the phone will continue draining the battery even when the screen is off. Sync enables the phone to check any arrival of new notifications, which will have a bad effect on the battery. It is suggested to turn off the app syncing for each and every app. Alternatively, if you choose to not do this, you can toggle to have the most important apps, such as an email app, for syncing and it can save your battery.
There is no other way to limit battery usage
Enabling the power-saving mode is another option to conserve power to your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone. When this option is enabled on the phone, it will automatically turn off some services such as location services, background services, Wi-Fi etc. as soon as the battery of your device reaches a certain percentage. Here is how to enable power saving mode:
Go to Settings > Advanced settings > Battery manager and you will be given three choices such as Normal, Smart and Ultra from where you can select the one according to your needs. The Ultra mode will turn off all the services apart from letting you making calls and sending texts, thus, help the device to stay alive for longer time.
Why are my pictures and/or videos blurry?
The camera to your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone is producing blurring pictures and/or videos.
The Huawei Mate 9 photo resolution is not set correctly
Occasionally the photos of Huawei Mate 9 are blurry because quality is extremely low. To test this, go to your camera application. When you’re there, go to Settings and after, click Resolution. If you are there, you need to check in cases where the resolution is not at a minimum. If it does, increase it.
The focus of the camera is not calibrated
The fact that the image is blurred can potentially come from a focus issue. To resolve this, you need to go into the Camera application of your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone after that in Focus Mode. When you are there, you should check the Auto Focus mode. Whenever the macro mode is on, this means that the issue stems from there.
Why is my touchscreen not working when touched?
The touchscreen to your Huawei Mate 9 is unresponsive or it delays in response when using the smartphone.

Phone is not charging properly
There is no charge going into your Huawei Mate 9 smartphone.
Not original charging cord
Before doing anything else, check label of the charger you’re using to know if it’s the original one or a third-party. The reason why manufacturers normally pack a charger kit together with the main unit is because those accessories have been tested to work perfectly with the phone by giving out correct voltage and current.
Third-party accessories makers also build chargers that may equal with the specs of some devices but this is not to say that these chargers will be compatible with your phone
Faulty hardware causing problems
Assuming you’re using the original charger and cable and your phone is still not charging, you should try to reboot your phone. Reboot your phone a few times to rule out the possibility the problem is caused by a minor firmware or hardware glitch. Reboots usually fix glitches in the system or a temporary hardware issue that occurs from time to time.
Faulty charger, cable and ports
Before you actually do the checking, try to plug the charger to a different wall outlet that you know works because that might be the issue here. If the problem persists even with other outlets, then proceed with the physical checking of the charger.
Dust or dirt inside ports
Remove the cable from it and then look into the port to see if there are debris, lints, corrosion or bent pins. For debris and lint, you can actually fish them out of the port using a pair of tweezers or you can give it a blast of compressed air if possible. For corrosion, you can clean it out with a Q tip with alcohol and for bent pins, try straightening them out with a pair of tweezers. Check if there are any holes or bumps along the cord of the charger as these can be the cause of your phone not charging properly.
