Wifi And Bluetooth Connection Issues
The device is unable to connect to Wifi or Bluetooth devices.
Incorrect Wifi Settings
Check your wifi settings by going to Settings>Advanced Settings>Wifi> Select: "Always" if it is not already chosen. You can also choose "Only When Plugged In" as an alternative. For this option the device will only connect to Wifi or Bluetooth when the device is charging.
Wifi Or Bluetooth Connection Needs To Be Reestablished
Method 1: The easiest method to reestablish connection is to toggle the Wifi or Bluetooth off and back on. This can be done under the settings menu.
Method 2: If this fails to fix the problem try restarting the device. Restarting the device could resolve a software issue with the device. To restart the device hold down the power button for a few seconds until the device turns off. Then hold the power button for a few seconds again to turn the device back on.
Method 3: Sometimes Wifi and Bluetooth connection problems can be caused by other applications on the device. Rebooting the device in Safe Mode will restart the device while only running the most basic applications that are necessary for the device to function. To restart the device in Safe Mode:
- Step 1: Hold down the power button.
- Step 2: Hold down the power off option.
- Step 3: Select OK to reboot device in Safe Mode.
- Step 4: Restart the device normally and Safe Mode will be removed.
Method 4: The last method to fix Wifi and Bluetooth connection problems is to wipe the Cache Partition. Wiping the Cache Partition removes some of the clutter from the device allowing it to operate more efficiently. To wipe the Cache Partition:
- Step 1: Remove the battery and put it back in.
- Step 2: Press the power and volume up buttons simultaneously.
- Step 3: Using the volume key scroll to wipe the Cache Partition.
- Step 4: Press the power button.
- Step 5: When the message "Cache Wipe Complete" appears scroll to reboot the system.
Router Issues
It is possible that the Wifi connection problem is not being caused by the device itself. If this seems to be the case, try unplugging your Router for at least thirty seconds. Then plug the router back in and attempt to reconnect your device to it.
Touchscreen Will Not Work Correctly
The touchscreen is completely unresponsive; or the touchscreen is reading touches inaccurately..
The Screen Is Locked
If the touchscreen is completely unresponsive then check to make sure screen isn’t locked. To unlock the screen push the power button on the right side of the device and swipe your finger across the bottom of the screen from left to right.
The Touchscreen Needs To Be Recalibrated
If the touchscreen isn't registering your touches correctly then check the calibration settings. To check these settings select: Settings > Touch Settings > Calibration. This will allow you to re-calibrate the screen. Calibrate the screen by following the on-screen instructions.
Faulty Front Camera
Front camera is not functional or just appears as a black screen.
Front Camera Has A Software Issue
Method 1:If the front camera is not functioning properly or displaying a black screen, then the first potential fix is to restart the device normally. This will likely resolve any issues that the device is having while running the application.
Method 2: Another option to resolve a software issue with the camera is to wipe the Cache Partition. Wiping the Cache Partition will erase temporary system data which allows the device to run more smoothly.
Front Camera Is Visibly Damaged
If the front camera is damaged, replace the front camera.
Phone Will Not Turn On
The device will not turn on when holding the power button.
Battery Is Low
The device may not turn on because it needs to be charged. Plug the device into its charger and allow the device to charge for at least five minutes. Then attempt to turn on the device by holding the power button located on the right side of the device.
Defective Charger
Next make sure that the charger for the device is fully functional. To determine if the charger is bad, try using a different (but equivalent) charger for your device. If the device will turn on after using the replacement charger, then the problem is the charger and not the device itself.
