Stereo Will Not Turn On
You have trouble turning the stereo on.
Face Plate Disconnected
Check the face plate to make sure it is securely attached to head unit.
Blown Fuse
If the radio will not turn on, first check the fuse located at the back of the radio. If the fuse is burnt, replace with a fuse of the same amperage rating.
Loose Wiring Connections
Check the wiring located at the back of the radio. Make sure the wires are attached properly and securely. Also, look for wiring shorts: when two wires are touching when they are not supposed to.
No Sound Can Be Heard
Your Kenwood KDC-BT362U audio cannot be heard.
Volume Level
Adjust volume to the optimal level.
Loose/Shorted Wiring Connections
Check the wiring located at the back of the radio. Make sure the wiring is attached properly and securely. Also, look for wiring shorts: when two wires are touching when they are not supposed to.
Bluetooth Crackling Sounds
The device that is connected to the Bluetooth might be too far. Move the device closer to the stereo.
Reconnect Bluetooth Device
Turn the Bluetooth off on the device, then turn it back on to reconnect to the stereo.
CD May Be Dirty
Eject the CD and check for fingerprints and smudges. Proceed to clean the CD off with a small cloth and rubbing alcohol. Wipe the CD from the center outwards. Then, reinsert the CD into the stereo.
Faulty AUX Cable
Disconnect and reconnect the AUX cable. If the problem persists, replace the AUX cable.
CD Insert Errors
"CD cannot be inserted."
CD Eject
Press and hold the eject button to remove the disk from the CD-drive.
CD Inserted Upside Down
The CD may have been inserted upside down. Eject the CD, flip it and reinsert it.
USB Device Cannot Be Read
Files May Be Corrupt
Recopy the files from the USB device into the stereo.
Reset USB Device
Disconnect the USB device and turn it off and back on. Then, reconnect after resetting.
Faulty USB Cable
Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. If the problem persists, replace the USB cable.

My stereo system won't work…I turn it on and it reads Pandora then it says check device…it won't let me do anything it's like it's frozen and it won't change functions or anything it won't even reset

Had this issue. Inserted a CD to force the unit to change sources, and then was able to use the unit again. Then went into the settings and disabled Pandora.

Hey ddwifeone, you just saved me a bunch of headaches. Had a dead battery, came back to a stuck radio… I just stuck a cd and it fixed the mode (SRC) problem! Thanks! I would recommend this as an easy troubleshooter before you pay someone to fix it…
