Battery does not retain charge or drains too fast
The tablet will not power on, or it will not stay powered on as long as expected.
Battery did not fully charge
Charge the battery overnight to make sure it starts with a full charge.
Charging cable did not seat properly
If the battery had enough time to charge but the tablet still has insufficient battery power, the charging cable may not have been seated properly. Plug it in again, making sure the cable is in full contact with the charging port on the tablet and the plug is in full contact with the wall socket. Battery status (charging) and percent remaining will be displayed in the top right of the screen. Allow it to charge overnight.
Charging cable is faulty
If the above methods do not help, the charging cable may be faulty. Buy or borrow a different charging cable to test it. If the tablet still does not power on, the battery may be faulty.
Battery is faulty
If the tablet's battery still does not work right after the above steps, the battery may be faulty and need to be replaced. Use the battery replacement guide located here.
Screen is frozen or unresponsive
The screen does not respond to the touch of a finger or the stylus in any way, it responds sluggishly, or the response lags.
Tablet's software is frozen
Press and hold the power button on the right side of the tablet and select Power off, then confirm. If this does not power off the tablet, press and hold the power button until the tablet turns off (approximately 10 seconds). Restart the tablet. If this is a repeated problem, make sure your tablet's OS is updated to the latest version. The latest software version for the LG G Pad X 8.3 can be downloaded at this LG Help page.
Stylus is faulty
If you only notice problems when using the stylus, it may be faulty. Replace it.
Screen component is faulty
If a reset does not fix the problem or the tablet's screen noticeably lags, a screen component may be to blame. Use this guide to replace your tablet's screen.
Motherboard is faulty
If the tablet does not seem to be turning on at all, the reason for your black screen may be the motherboard, which controls many processes in the tablet. Check out the motherboard replacement guide.
Speakers sound too quiet or produce poor quality sound
The sound coming from the speakers is too quiet, is concentrated only on one side when tablet is held in portrait mode, or is weak and tinny.
Volume is set too low or sounds are turned off in present app
Check the Sound Profile in the Sound menu. Ensure that the tablet is not set to Silent or Vibration mode. If the sound is missing only in one app, check that app's menu for sound settings and make sure sound is turned on.
Speakers are in landscape orientation
Speakers are in landscape orientation on the back, producing sound on only one side when tablet is held in portrait mode. Use an external speaker.
Speakers are not powerful enough
The sound may be tinny, distant, or crackle at loud volumes. Many tablet speakers are small and not very powerful. Use an external speaker.
Speakers are faulty
Speakers that do not produce any sound or produce sound with significant distortion can be replaced using this speaker replacement guide.
Photos taken are of poor quality
Photos show spots, are grainy in low light, or are distorted.
Lens is dirty
Clean the glass over the lens with a gentle solution, such as eyeglass cleaner, and a lint-free cloth. If debris has gotten inside the glass over the rear-facing camera, see this guide to disassemble the rear-facing camera and gently clean the lens as above. You can also tap the screen with the back cover off (after disassembly) to shake loose any particles from the lens area.
Camera sensor does not perform well in low light
The rear-facing camera is especially prone to this. Increase ambient light by adding more artificial lighting to your subject or shoot in a better location with more light or during a brighter time of day.
Camera is faulty or lens is cracked
If photos are distorted, the camera may need to be replaced, especially if the lens is cracked. To replace the tablet's rear-facing camera, see this guide.
SD card loses connection
Apps that save to the SD card are interrupted, a sound plays frequently as the SD card connects and disconnects, files are not saved to the SD card, or files are corrupted when saved to the SD card.
SD card is dirty
Gently wipe the gold connectors on the SD card with a lint-free cloth to remove any debris that may have accumulated.
SD card is not seated properly
Eject the SD card by going to Apps>Settings>Storage & USB and then click the eject icon. Press the SD card inward until it clicks. It will then slide out. Make sure the card is facing the correct direction (when looking at the rear of the tablet, the gold strips on the card should be facing up) and insert the card again.
SD card is not formatted properly
Back up your data first: this step will delete the data on the SD card. Reformat your card by going to Apps>Settings>Storage & USB. Tap SD card>Menu>Settings>Format. Confirm your decision. This resets your SD card to factory settings.
Updates or internal errors have corrupted the card
Download and use LG PC Suite from the official LG website to fix internal errors caused by updates. Follow manufacturer instructions. If the problem persists, reformat the SD card as in the previous step and try again. Always eject the card in Settings before removing it from the tablet to help prevent corruption (eject the SD card by going to Apps>Settings>Storage & USB and then click the eject icon).

First off, let me point out that the listed link just above covering the Corrupted the Card - - LG Pc Suite, I recently tried and you will receive this message “ The page you requested isn't available. “ as of March 1, 2021.
Also, you may want to check the other listed guides because they may be addressing earlier Models of the LG G Pad and NOT this specific Model of the LG G Pad X 8.3. I did a comparison with the other Battery Replacement Guide and found that you had to remove more components than this X 8.3 AND the battery in this X 8.3 has One (1) more screw holding in the battery than in the other Guide. Check-It Out !
You may want to also see if the above referenced (with a link) Help page to LG is appropriate to your specific LG G Pad… I received my X 8.3 from Verizon and Verizon has their own manual PDF for this Tablet. Also my model is reference by this Model information — LG-VK815_VZW_UG_WEB_V1.0 with the downloaded manual at the time of purchase. That’s it for Now.
