Backlight is too dim
The backlight is too dim or won’t turn on and the viewer cannot see the content on the screen.
Brightness settings are too low
Press F6 to increase brightness and F5 to decrease brightness until desired brightness is reached.
Power saving technology is enabled
In this case, the brightness is low to save battery life. To disable, right click on desktop and select “graphic properties” then select “power” and “power features”. Next, look for “graphics power plan settings” and change the dropdown menu to “on battery”. Then, uncheck “display power saving technology” and save changes.
Keyboard is not responding
When typing on the keyboard, the keys are sticking and/or the Thinkpad x230 is not responding.
Faulty Keyboard
If the Thinkpad x230 is not responding at all to the keyboard, then you should carefully check to ensure all wires are connected at their proper ports.
Keys are sticking
If the keys cannot be pressed down then you will need to replace the keyboard itself.
Ultranav does not respond

Ultranav is disabled
Verify Ultranav is enabled. Go to Device Manager. On Ultranav driver right-click on properties. Under the driver tab, the status of the device should appear. If disabled, change to enable Ultranav.
Ultranav is not installed
To install the latest version of the Ultranav driver use the following link: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/download.... Make sure to keep all drivers updated to ensure high performance.
Camera does not work
The camera will not turn on or fails to detect image.
Privacy Mode is On
Most computers with privacy features come with Camera Privacy enabled. To turn privacy mode off by pressing Fn+F6. Press again to turn it back on.
Camera is disabled
Open the device manager window. Under Imaging Device two options should appear, Lenovo EasyCamera or Integrated Camera. Right-click on either one of them and select Enable.
Hardware Failure
Press Fn+ESC to verify the camera is installed properly. Test the camera using any software with camera features. If the problem persists contact Lenovo local service center for technical support.
Battery life doesn't last
The battery will not charge or dies too fast.
Battery is broken
Sometimes a faulty battery is given with Lenovo Thinkpads. For this reason, it is better to buy a new battery in most cases. Additionally, sometimes unexpected events occur that also require the purchase of a new battery.
Battery will not charge
If you are having issues with charging your laptop try removing the battery and the AC adapter. Then try pressing and holding down the power button for 3 - 4 seconds with these removed. Put the battery back in, along with the AC adapter and see if it will charge. If this does not work try updating your motherboard. Lastly, if issues persist try purchasing a new battery and AC adapter.

Having issues with my Lenovo ThinkPad x230 after I did long press power button off when I try to power it on, comes and goes off at the same time severally. After I did power it off. When I try to power on again it didn't come on even when put the power adaptor it didn't indicate the any light. Pls how can I fix this issue.

When I power my X230 on the power button light shows green but the fan doesn't start and the laptop doesn't come on too.
What can I do to solve this?
