Before opening up the wand remember to unplug the wand from the wall. The Power button may have become disconnected from the circuit, check here to find disassembly instructions for the wand. Once the wand is disassembled solder the wire back to the metal on the power button to reconnect the power button.

If the wand is turned on, and the (+) button is pressed and the wand will not heat up more the wiring for the (+) button may be faulty. The connection from the wand’s main circuit to the (+) button might be disconnected, the device will have to be taken apart to check for faulty wiring. Please consult the disassembly guide to learn how to open up the wand. Once the wand is open look at the circuit board to see if the (+) button is connected. Curling Wand Won't Heat Up

Broken power cord
If absolutely nothing happens in the device when the device is plugged in (no lights turn on and the iron does not heat up), or when the iron is moved around the device turns on and off, the power cord may be faulty. Try unplugging the power cord from the wall and re-plugging it in. Closely examine the power cord to see if there is a spot that looks worn or damaged and do one (or both) of the following. [1] If there are no parts on the cord that look worn or broken, you should disassemble the device to check the connection of the power cord to the rest of the device. Refer to this disassembly guide. Near the bottom of the device, look for corrosion or damage of the connection between the cord and the receiver to the rest of the device. If you see problems here refer to this guide for replacing (or fixing) the power cord connection. [2] If there is one spot (or many) in the power cord that looks very worn or ruined, you may need to cut the power cord and reconnect it to fix it. Refer to this guide for fixing shorts or broken parts of the power cord.

My wand keeps having an error message pop up. It's been going on for a while but when it first started I could just unplug it and plug it back in and it would work. I could also set it to a certain temp and it would work. Now none of those ideas work and it will heat up for about 2-3 minutes then "Err" pops up. Do you have any suggestions or will I just have to buy a whole new wand?

I’m also having that issue and mine is only 3 months old and I haven’t used it that much. Very frustrating!

Is there a solution to this problem? My curling wand is reading the same ERR , and I am not sure how to fix this issue? Now I regret purchasing the insurance at Walmart when asked, because of this issue I will not purchase another Remington Product, it really makes since when the phrase is used “You Get What You Pay For!!” I will pay more for a better product, this is frustrating and with a lot of people having the same issue they should pull the product off the shelf’s instead of selling faulty products.
