Hi
Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop, just to verify that it is not a GPU card problem (if yours has one and is not using integrated graphics). If your particular model uses integrated graphics and the problem is there on the external monitor as well it could be a motherboard problem.
It could also be that the video cable has been damaged where it passes through the left hinge to get to the display panel from the motherboard.
Other than that you’ll have to check the cable connection at the display end and if that is OK it may be the panel itself.
Here’s a link to the [https://www.dell.com/support/home/au/en/aubsd1/product-support/product/xps-13-9365-2-in-1-laptop/docs|service manual] for the laptop taken from this [https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/xps-13-9365-2-in-1-laptop_service-manual_en-us.pdf|webpage].
-Scroll to p.27 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the display panel.
+Scroll to p.27 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the display assembly.
This is useful as it will allow you to get access to the cable and the connections at both ends.
