Shaver not working at all

Batteries could be dead, it's been in storage for years. However, I'd expect it to work even when plugged into a power outlet.
* Neither LED lights up.
* Pressing the power button does nothing.
It never fell or anything, just stopped working years ago and I didn't have the time to check if I can fix it.
Any ideas where I should start?
