Try disabling the power saving setting and check if the WiFi stays on.
Go to ''Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Power saving'' and disable it.

If it does then a downloaded app (3rd party app) may be the cause of the problem. You will have to uninstall each downloaded app one by one and check the phone in normal mode between each uninstall to see if it works OK or not. When it does the last downloaded app that was uninstalled was the culprit.
