2.7GHz Logic board replacement
I am having trouble locating a replacement logic board, mine is fried. Is the 2012 part compatible?

They should swap. The biggest PITA will be dealing with the battery.

Thank you, I will purchase a new one when I am able to. I have already replaced the battery, so I will update this when the repair is complete.

did the swap work? what did he mean by the battery being a PITA? looking at possible similar swap, thx.

I received the board today, and the swap went well as far as I can tell. I still have no display on the LCD, but powers up fine and I can hear system noises from keypresses.
Edit: iFixIt now lists these parts as compatible
