I have had a client that a roach went into the power supply of the PS4 and damage the components. I have been trying for some time now to see where I can obtain power supply separately. Any suggestions? Please contact me at c.fl

Hi Charles, I was in the same boat in february, Just do a google search for the model of the power supply and I was able to source on on ebay for a little more than $100.
My PS4's PSU model was ADP-240AR.

So you’ve got a dead power supply and want to know why. The problem could be something simple, like a blown fuse or loose wire. If so, you might be able to fix the supply for less than $1. This article will outline how to replace a bad power supply fuse, saving you the cost of a whole new supply.

If you do decide to open a power supply, remember to UNPLUG IT FIRST. Also, DO NOT WEAR A SHORTING BRACELET when working inside a power supply. You do not want to be in the current path of a discharging capacitor. Remember that power supplies are not the high-dollar items they once were and an hour of a tech’s labor is sometimes more than the cost of a new supply. I did it at my risk and got shockwd but smth is shorted in my power supply and the sec fuse is blown and I replace it and tryed it and the new one blowed too, so smth is shorted but I can't tell what is(I've clean the whole power supply with 95% alcohol but it didn't stop that short circuit

You'll need to replace the PSU, or deep clean it. You can find YouTube videos to clean, but I'd replace it. Use the guide below to replace the power supply. You can get one from eBay.

I took my ps4 apart and I took out the power supply there is no power cord or anything else hooked up to it but I keep getting shocked. Does the power supply keep charged even though it's been disconnected from all power sources for 3 days now?

No she has not, also the warranty seal already been removed. The ps4 was infested with a small colony of roaches by the time I got to it.

I think she has bigger issues than the PS4 power supply.
Anywho, researching your question more. Are you referring to the external power brick or the power inlet on the back of the console?

I was speaking of the power inlet in the back of the ps4. And no there is no bigger issue I had obtain another ps4 from a friend and switch the PSU and the broken was able to start up.
Dakota I will go ahead and try what you mentioned. I'll post back if I find anything
