1 How labor intensive are the guides?
I am not that technically inclined, but I would still like to replace my speakers. How difficult is it to replace them.

2/10 on the difficult scale. It is one of the easier parts to replace. Plus, speaker replacements are frequently on ebay. And soon, you will be able to purchase replacements from iFixit directly. The specificity of the tools required is the most likely deterrent, but nothing a technically-uninclined person could not obtain.
