Hey guys,
a few days ago I repaired an iphone 5s for a friend of mine. After the repair it doesn't vibrate and ring but sounds like music spotify and youtube work.
The ringtone switch is not on vibrate and the "don't disturb" option is also not switched on.
I have absolutely no idea what it could be, since I only worked on the screen itself and not in the housing of the iphone.

Know this is an old post but I was having the same problem after buying a replacement screen on Ebay. Turns out the front camera cover was touching the vibrate motor preventing it from turning. I fixed this by pressing the metal hook that is on the right side of the camera cover in a little bit with a screwdriver and now it's working. I also had previously tried repositioning the camera and camera holder but this didn't solve it. Let me know if this helps anyone.

This is the correct answer 100% Took me 2 weeks to figure it out a couple years back..
Yes I can answer this as well. It was exactly that. The front camera steel cover was contacting the vibration motor. Thanks for the tip!!!

The same thing happened to me several times.. I'm going to try replacing the vibrate motor, but I'd like to know how to prevent it from happening again.
