Trackpad button not responding

My trackball bar is not responding on the left side, which is the side I use most. The right side works fine.

I expect there's dirt under it, can I remove the button bar and clean under it?

You can try using a guitar pick or a single edge razor blade to run around the edge and see if you can clear out the dirt. Ralph
