Gallery Force Quit Issue

Hi,

My gallery app has been shutting gown before it allows me to browse pictures or anything else. Its been force quitting itself all day and has corrupted numerous picture files. Not only is this inconvenient but I have lost some important files. I've moved the majority of saved images to my computer now, and it still force quits. Can you give me some advice?
