My laptop has been messed up somehow and barely works the way it use to. I have finally came to the conclusion that I need to reset it, but I'm not sure how to. Does anyone know how to reset this type of laptop?

Kiana McGee, it may work if you use the correct combination of keys. this would require your computer to have a recovery partition. For a Dell it should work by pressing and holding ctrl + F11 for recovery at startup.
