Intel Pro/wireles2200BG NETWORK CONN., has driver or hardware issues?

I have a problem with the "Intel (R) PRO/WIRELESS 2200BG NETWORK CONNECTION" says is experiencing driver or hardware related issues.

I can't get on the internet. I tried to reinstall from original disc, also downloaded driver on flash drive to install on comp, but no luck. I was told that because originally XP came with, but I upgraded to Vista, and that is why It won't let me install the driver.

You won't be able to install the driver if it is made for XP. check that the driver is for vista before downloading. Vista is pretty good at installing Drivers for most things so you could try uninstalling it in Device Manager from the right-click context menu, telling windows to delete driver files, then rebooting... Vista should then install the correct drivers by itself.

Unless you have another identical laptop you can test it in, the only alternative is to buy another and test. eBay will be your friend here.
