iPod red screen - lcd problem?
I have a problem with iPod 1st gen as below

This is definitely an LCD problem.

I just did this repair recently and it wasn't too bad. You should be back up and running in about half an hour.

My iPod is also turned off automatically even if the battery is fully recharged.
I could use it for few mins though,
The iPod gets hot and the power is off.
Should I replace the battery?
