Why do some parts of my touchscreen not work?

When I'm using my phone, certain parts of my touchscreen will work but then other parts will not respond to touch.

You can adjust you screen sensitivity by going under settings>display>touchscreen sensitivity, check the box and this should help increase the sensitivity of the screen.
