Display white with lines but works fine on external screen

My Acer Aspire 7741 has white screen display with lines vertically. When I connect to external screen it works perfectly but on the laptop the problem remains.

I need help from anyone one this forum.

Hi Paulus,

It sounds like a dying/dead LCD that needs to be replaced. Did these lines appear gradually over time?

I had the same problem and I thought it needed a new LCD screen but when I took the screen apart I pushed the connection in a little. It had just jiggled loose. Works fine now. I have the same laptop. Hope that helps
