Non functioning touch Tab 3, 7.0

Hi Guys,

A customer dropped a Tab 3, 7.0 into me today to have a look at an issue he was facing. At first look a simple glass replacement was needed. His problem was the touchscreen was not functioning but the back button next to home still works.

I tried 3 different glasses obviously before removing the old undamaged glass and all experienced the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas why the touch does not work but the bottom buttons are.

Other than that have tried turning off of course but haven't gone as far as a full reset. Since i cannot get hold of the guy to check the backup status.

Since writing this, the touch is kind of responding if I tap very fast.. thought I best add that.
