The DC input jack is, for lack of a better description, loose. Thus, I need to manipulate the cord in all sorts of weird ways to get the computer to charge or operate on AC. It is getting worse. And, no, it is not the adapter; I've tried three.

I got the jack replaced several months ago and now it charges perfectly. If you need a jack replaced, I recommend http://powerjackrepair.org/. They did a very fast and very neat job at a reasonable price.
