Which hard drive should I buy to replace failed original hard disk?

My hard drive has failed on my iMac 24" 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo A1200 EMC No. 2111 (2006 model).

Can I replace it with any hard drive, or will I have to match the old (failed) hard drive as far as brand, size and speed?
