iPod is not responding.

Our iPod froze up. The screen displays a picture, but you can't do anything. We can't even turn it off. We hooked it up to the computer for a diagnostic and it indicated the URL was not working.

Hi, Here is a link to a web site with instructions on resetting you iPod. If that doesn't work arrow down to the appropriate repair manual. Good luck Ralph

resetting the nano is quite easy

press and hold the menu and the select button (at the same time!) for around 6-10 seconds (until the iPod restarts)

sometimes the nano 3g's software can crash pretty badly and the nano needs to be restored - so, try to reset it and if it still won't work normal - restore it
