Motorola DROID MAXX XT1080 Screen replacement caused a bootloop?

I'm a bit at a loss here. I'm no expert but replacing the screen shouldn't have this effect. I have taken the phone apart and checked the LCD connection about a hundred times, and it all ends up the same: I plug in the phone (battery was dead when I did the screen replacement) and the Motorola splash screen comes up, then goes away, then comes back, then goes away, indefinitely until I unplug it. I'm at a total loss as to what I should do next... the phone worked fine before I fixed the screen. So far, I'm just letting the phone do its thing on the off chance a low battery is causing this. I doubt it though. I will check back in a few hours when my last class gets out, but for now I need ideas. Help!

Edit: Charging does nothing, and after an hour I'm getting no response from the power button. I think the battery has become disconnected, I'm going to have a closer look and report back.

I am having the same issue and also I do have a rubber gasket "left over" that I haven't found where it goes, I bet im experiencing the same phenomenon as you are, wish me luck

the power on button might be stuck and causing it to power up and down in a continues loop.

So, here's what happened. I'd overlooked a rubber gasket that was meant to keep the charging port from shorting on the rest of the frame. As such, it was getting shorted. I replaced the gasket and now everything is fine! It still shorts from time to time, but that's because I don't have adhesive between the LCD and glass. I will get that as soon as I can, but in the meantime, I need to keep pressure on the phone when I'm not using it. Hopefully someone else can learn from this!
