My Kenmore Series 90 direct drive washer sounds like it's spinning, but is not. I checked the motor coupler and it is fine. The clutch seemed fine but I replaced it anyway and it did not fix the problem. The lid switch works OK also. The problem is intermittent, sometimes it spins, sometimes does not. The rest of the cycle works, including agitiation. What else can it be?

Thanks Mayer! However, the clutch replacement fixed the problem. I guess the test that I did immediately after replacing it was not accurate, but now, several loads of laundry later, it is spinning and working great.

I have a similar problem but when it gets to the rinse cycle prior to spin the water drains out but you have to physically turn the drum to get it spinning then it spins out okay and throughout the rest of the cycle fine how do I fix that...
