Engine stalls when engaging blades
I have a Craftsman riding lawn tractor model 917.29726. When engaging blades, engine stalls. Think it may be the safety switch that won't let engine run when blades are engaged.

Sounds like maybe changing fuel and air filters might work. I check mine twice each season and change all at least once a season. If the air filters are clogged or the fuel filter not getting enough fuel through to engine, that would stall the engine when the moving blades make the engine work harder. Is there fuel visible in the fuel filter? I guessed the fuel was not getting through properly and once changed to a new one, problem was solved.
