Say headphone are plugged in So no sound

Hi my hp slate 7 says headphones are plugged in but they are not thus no sound. There is nothing stuck in there. Any ideas please. Thanks Del

I have the exact same problem, I also have the exact same tablet. Another website told me that if you suck the headphone hole really hard, it should work. It didnt for me. Then it said try turning your tablet off fully and on again with the headphones plugged in, that also didnt work for me.
