Stuck on OK to disconnect

My iPod is stuck on the white "ok to disconnect" screen. I am aware of holding the power and volume down until the apple logo appears. That doesn't work for me because my volume buttons are broken. I have tried restoring it as well, and that does not work. Does anybody have any recommendations?
