First make sure the sim card is in the tray the right way then make sure the tray slot is clear.Old and worn sim cards can loose there chip and it can get stuck in the slot. make sure the tray has no damage and make sure your putting it in the right way up.only fits one way without force if it was forced in you have a bigger problem.
