battery or something else

I'm having same problem millions are having with ps4 turning on n shutting right off after a beep. I switched out battery still didn't work . I got upset n throw it on my mattress. Which then I tried the power button 1 more time, the ps 4 turned on n was playable for a few hours . I thought the problem was fix but it continues I tried throwing it on the bed bee but it won't turn on its worked a few times after but it is clear it is not the battery wat else can it b n is it fixable.== Heading text ==

It sounds like it has bad solder joints under the APU (GPU+CPU) chip. This is a very common problem. If you get it working again you'll want to save anything you want to keep because if it's fixable it will likely need to be reinitialized when it's fixed.

Since you can get it to turn on sometimes it's very likely that it's fixable, but keep in mind that sometimes when they have these symptoms it's not fixable.

You'll definitely want to send it to Sony if it's still under warranty but if not the only way to get a permanent fix it to have it repaired somewhere.

The GPU is failing. If you have a manufacturer's warranty, claim it asap. You will have a brand new replacement unit soon.
