Gets very hot, front camera/earpiece not working after new screen
I replaced my phone screen myself a few days ago, I used to work in a phone repair store so I'm fairly confident in my abilities, everything went fine but not the front facing camera shows a blur and freezes the camera app, the ear piece isn't working (speaker phone and headphones are fine) and most annoying of all the phone gets incredibly hot. I am almost certain it is not the battery, the heat isn't even coming from near the battery, though battery life has gotten noticeably worse. There are no visibly burnt parts and I have read that replacing the front facing camera flex cable might fix the issue, anyone has any experience with this problem? It is very frustrating to have fixed the phone only to run into even more problems. I am thinking of just taking it to apple and saying its overheating however I'm sure the will check the ear piece and camera and notice the screen was replaced and I figure saying I bought it offline and trying for sympathy points won't work as I'm sure there is some way to see I am the first and only owner. Any help would be VERY MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance, sorry for the long post.

I am having the same problem too, but recently Iphone 5c has gone completely dead after replacing the screen myself. I am also having the same issues the front facing camera and the speaker I assume are very hot. One second the phone was working perfectly with a few touch errors then another it had half a white screen and was dead. I still can't get to turn on after putting it on the charger. Please help!

I never took my phone to a screen replacement store, I always did it myself because with the help of youtube videos and the right tools, it's easy... so, I changed my screen in february this year, and last friday, I was at a party, and my phone was 5% battery, so when I got my phone out of my pocket I assumed that the battery had died, getting home I put it to charge and nothing, litteraly nothing happened, even the red battery logo that indicates that is charging (or not) didn't appears, I let it there, so when i got back to the phone the same was hot as !&&* in the earpiece/front facing camera area, and still, doensn't turns on, for nothing in this world, the screen is NEW with screen protector and stuff... BTW it's an iPhone 5c.... late 2014 model.... I'm done, i don't know what else i can do, i love the phone, but don't worth anymore paying for fixing, it's almost the price of a new phone... but i'm dying to know what took the phone to die, i'll take the phone to repair just for curiosity...

My husband has an iPhone XR and I’ve done a diagnostic check to see and the camera isn’t showing the Apple support told I have to send it in for repairs but I do have a degree in fixing it but I just want to make sure I’m buying the right parts to fix it. And with the phone overheating I don’t want him to go without a phone
