3 short 3 long 3 short beeps on start up
After looking on here it could be Efi rom or power supply inside computer. Cam I fix it myself? And if so how? Is it complicated?

S-O-S (3 short - 3 long - 3 short) is the systems firmware failure.
Not sure there is much you can do to fix this your self. Apple has EoL this model so getting them to help you recover the firmware will be difficult.
You could replace the logic board with a working one. There are a few outfits that can reprogram the firmware EEROM but you would need to swap out the Atmel chip which is a bit of work.

Would it be costly to get it fixed?

Getting a replacement logic board will be around $250 ~ 400 US depending on which processor you get (3.06 or 3.33 GHz). If you do it your self the cost of the needed tools, if you bring it in to some one it will take about 3hrs to do (~$300 labor). While still cheaper than buying a new system its getting close to the edge of buying a newer used system.
