iPhone 5 overheating and draining battery after drop and broken screen
I have a questions that has been bugging me for a while.
A few weeks ago I dropped my iPhone 5 on the ground causing the screen to brake.
That was not, however, the main issue the drop caused.
The phone started overheating and draining battery in a way that I've never experienced, sometimes getting so hot it hurts holding it.
Now to the interesting part: When I charge the phone after it has run out of battery and the SIM-card is locked, it charges and remains as cool as before the drop, but as soon as I unlock the SIM and start using it, the phone overheats.
I have tried to replace the screen and take out and clean every component down to the motherboard and putting it back, without improvement. I've looked for a short circuit but couldn't find anything.
Do any of you have ANY idea what might be the issue?
Many thanks in advance
